Classic Destinations Reimagined

Are you ready to rediscover a favorite city in a whole new way? Let’s go!

As discerning travelers, we love returning to iconic hotspots. Springtime in Paris never gets old, while London’s Parliament and Big Ben will always impress. And for a beach fix, we’ll go back to Los Cabos over and over again — there’s a reason why those famous rock formations along the coastline are in everyone’s Instagram feed. But sometimes a fresh POV is good for the soul, so next time you return to a classic spot, try exploring its less-discovered sides. The Club prides itself on local intel. Our Ambassadors and local Concierges know all about the tried-and-true sites, but they also have an insider’s perspective on unique adventures. So here, we’re sharing an outside-the-box approach to three favorite destinations.

Iconic destinations, fresh perspectives
Beyond the landmarks

Paris, France

Why Go Now: Post-Olympics, Paris is experiencing a renaissance of sorts. New luxury hotels, discreet chef-driven restaurants, and emerging art spaces are redefining the city’s cultural landscape. The Seine’s embankments have been transformed into easily accessible pedestrian hubs with a focus on sustainability, and there’s an undeniable freshness to the city, which means now is the moment to rediscover the City of Light.

Instead of the Louvre, How About: Musée Bourdelle. Nestled in the Montparnasse district, it was once the studio of sculptor Antoine Bourdelle. This intimate museum exhibits his works in a peaceful setting, including sculpture-laden gardens and preserved living spaces.

Lesser-Known Spots: Gracing Le Marché des Enfants Rouges, Paris’s oldest covered market, Les Enfants du Marché is a standout dining spot offering a culinary adventure tucked within the market’s lively stalls, just beyond the usual tourist paths. With less than a dozen stools around a counter, expect Michelin-level precision focused on local produce and fresh seafood. Another must is the Secret Gardens of Paris at at Hôtel Particulier Montmartre — a lush setting for outdoor dining, while La Vallée Suisse near Champs-Élysées provides a tranquil escape in a sunken garden setting. Both are vibrant retreats for those seeking serenity amidst the bustling urban city.

Where You’ll Stay: Settle into the romantic allure of the Majestic Hotel-Spa’s two-bedroom suites, where Parisian elegance meets just the right amount of home-away-from-home comfort. Top stays and amenities are also found at The Residences at the posh Peninsula Paris and the ultra-chic Rosewood Hôtel de Crillon — the best of the city right out your front door.

London, England

Why Go Now: Marrying its rich heritage and royal monarchy with modern luxury, London gets better with every year. The upcoming launch of the Britannic Explorer luxury sleeper train (July 2025) offers a unique and unexpected way to explore the UK's picturesque regions, while the city's culinary scene continues to thrive and cultural institutions like the British Museum are enhancing experiences through private tours.

Instead of the Houses of Parliament, How About: A historical scavenger hunt to London's Blue Plaques, which celebrate notable figures and events at specific locations throughout the city. Established in 1866, it’s a unique way to dive into London's rich past, with upwards of 900 plaques celebrating individuals from diverse backgrounds, including literature, science, and politics. Wandering through different neighborhoods to discover these plaques provides an intimate city connection.

Lesser-Known Spots: Two Temple Place is a stunning Neo-Gothic mansion built in the 19th century for William Waldorf Astor. This architectural masterpiece showcases intricate wood carvings, stained glass windows, and stylish interiors. If food and wine top your itinerary, the restaurant Don’t Tell Dad (the name alone piques curiosity) is a bakery by day and restaurant by night, serving unique dishes from Head Chef Luke Frankie, including oxtail on crumpets, crab tarts, and wild duck.

Where You’ll Stay: Two-bedroom residences are just steps from Buckingham Palace and staffed with trained butlers. To get beneath the surface of the city, ask your Concierge to procure tickets to the hottest West End show or an exhibition at one of London's newest galleries.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Why Go Now: With new luxury accommodations and exclusive experiences catering to discerning travelers, Los Cabos is a continuous entice for adventure lovers, wellness seekers, and the epicurious. Plus, the area’s farm-to-table movement and vibrant art scene provide culturally rich experiences beyond its pristine coastline.

Instead of the Typical Coastline Tour, How About: The pristine waters of the Sea of Cortéz aboard a private yacht. Custom charters offer snorkeling, diving, and secluded beach excursions, so you can discover marine life and coastal beauty in luxury and privacy.

Lesser-Known Spot: Take a hands-on cooking class at Monte Cardón. Located at a ranch outside San José del Cabo and featuring fare by Chef Ubaldo Martínez, the experience guides guests through harvesting seasonal produce and prepping traditional Baja cuisine. Also, immerse yourself in the region’s vibrant art scene at the weekly Art Walk. Held every Thursday evening from November to June, galleries showcase works by local and international artists.

Where You’ll Stay: From four-bedroom residences overlooking the Sea of Cortez at Esperanza Resort to four-bedroom residences in one of the most private and exclusive residential communities at Punta Ballena, the finest stays in Los Cabos await.
