CEO HOT LIST: All About Napa Valley

Discover Napa's must-visit wineries, restaurants, hidden gems, and dining experiences — handpicked by James Henderson, CEO of Exclusive Resorts.

Napa Valley is one of the most beauty-centric, eco-luxurious places to visit in the world. First recognized at the Judgment of Paris in 1976, this is one of the world’s most important fine wine regions. Known for Michelin-starred restaurants and world-class art — it’s all about passeggiata — the art of the stroll. It only takes a few steps along Main Street to be charmed by Napa Valley, where shops, galleries, and restaurants make it easy to while away an afternoon.

THE DONUM ESTATE | The Donum Estate brings to life a delicate balance among fine wine, sustainable farming, and renowned art that has made it an international destination.

CAKEBREAD CELLARS | From the signature Napa Valley Chardonnay to the classic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, experience the passion behind every wine in the Cakebread Cellars collection.

DARIOUSH WINERY | Uniquely shaped by a harmonious blending of traditions, their vision is rooted in taarof, the Persian art of gracious hospitality, and culminates in a worldly escape that transcends the comforts of home.

NICKLE & NICKLE WINERY | Get down and dirty with the nuances of different micro- and meso- climates with the Terroir Tasting, a north-to-south comparative exploration of some of Nickel & Nickel’s most highly-sought winery-only exclusives from Napa’s most exciting sub-appellations.

QUINTESSA ESTATE | A total of 160 acres are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Carménère on 26 vineyard blocks. Each block is farmed-organically and Biodynamic®-harvested, and vinified individually to preserve and enhance the nuances of the land.

FAUST HAUS WINERY | In 1998 the Huneeus family found this property in Coombsville, Napa’s newest AVA (American Viticultural Area), and instantly fell in love. The property embodies all the unique attributes of a world-class estate — diversity of soil, elevation, exposition, and climate. The land was destined to be the vineyard source for an exceptional wine.

ANGELE NAPA — From the rustic-chic dining room, enjoy classic French fare for lunch and dinner, such as Escargot, Nicoise Salad, and Duck Leg Confit, as well as a full menu of craft cocktails and wine.

MORIMOTO NAPA — Tradition is still the inspiration for this contemporary environment. A juxtaposition of old-fashioned high-backed chairs, beaded couches, and a butter yellow color embrace the soul of Morimoto dining lovers.

THE BOUNTY HUNTER — Be sure to check out Napa's new addition with a selection of the world’s rarest and finest spirits, featuring over 40 American whiskeys available by the glass or for purchase.

BOTTEGA RESTAURANT — Bottega offers an unmistakably Italian sense of style in a stunning Napa Valley setting.

AUBERGE DU SOLEIL For many, the name Auberge du Soleil is synonymous with wine country cuisine. The Restaurant has maintained its legacy as a "must experience" culinary destination for more than 40 years.

PRESS RESTAURANT — PRESS puts Napa Valley on a pedestal — the people, the ingredients, and the wines.

MODEL BAKERY — The location has been a bakery since 1908, and they still bake in the original brick ovens built in the 1920s. This location is a great place to grab a quick lunch with fresh, seasonal salads, soups, sandwiches, and pizza.
