A Week in Wine Country: A Road Trip Through Napa and Sonoma

Ten Vineyards. Seven Days. Endless Pours.

Wine has always been more than a pour for Members of The Club — it’s a passion, a pursuit, a point of connection. And with our Vineyard VIP program, that connection becomes a full-bodied experience: insider tours, private tastings, early access to limited releases, and conversations with the winemakers shaping the future of California wine. In this one-week itinerary, we map out a road trip through the most iconic vineyards of Napa and Sonoma, all part of our exclusive partner program. The only thing you need to bring? A healthy thirst.

Day 1: Darioush

Napa Valley

Begin your journey with a bold statement. Darioush is more than a vineyard — it’s a stage. Influenced by founder Darioush Khaledi’s Persian heritage, the estate blends ancient aesthetics with new-world winemaking. The Signature Tasting includes Bordeaux-style reds served in grand salons adorned with travertine columns and glass walls framing the Stags Leap District. Expect opulence, both in ambiance and on the palate. After your tasting, unwind at The Club's residences at Carneros Resort & Spa, nestled between rolling vineyards. Enjoy the two- or three-bedroom accommodations, complete with a spa, pools, and complimentary bicycles to explore the area.

Day 2: Far Niente and Nickel & Nickel

Napa Valley

Two stops, one ethos: precision and beauty. At Far Niente, Napa's legacy estate, you’ll experience lush gardens and a 19th-century stone winery, sipping silky Chardonnays and structured Cabernets. Just down the road, its sister winery, Nickel & Nickel invites you to discover the nuances of single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. Their meticulous, hands-on approach makes each tasting an intimate dive into Napa terroir, where each wine is crafted to highlight the unique characteristics of the vineyard. These two estates showcase Napa’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship at every turn.

Day 3: Chappellet & Quintessa

Napa Valley

Start your day high on Pritchard Hill, where Chappellet's hillside vineyards produce some of the most expressive Cabernet in the valley. Family-run and deeply rooted, the estate offers an elevated tasting that pairs panoramic views with deeply structured reds. In the afternoon, head to Quintessa, where organic and biodynamic practices underpin each elegant blend. The Quintessential Experience takes you through vineyards, caves, and a serene glass pavilion overlooking Rutherford.

Day 4: Cakebread & Tamber Bey

Napa Valley

Cakebread is a Napa classic with a legacy built on hospitality and consistency. From crisp Sauvignon Blancs to well-balanced Merlot, every tasting is relaxed, polished, and deliciously unfussy. Then detour to Tamber Bey, a hidden gem located on a working equestrian ranch in Calistoga. Their small-lot wines are bold and generous, served in a rustic-chic setting where thoroughbreds and wine lovers coexist.

Day 5: Faust

Napa Valley

At Faust Haus, wine gets a modern remix. Set in a Gothic Victorian home reimagined with a slick design edge, this isn’t your grandfather’s tasting room. The wines are fearless — think dark, brooding reds with swagger. The vibe? Part gallery, part lounge, all curated cool. A favorite stop for those who like their Cabernet with a side of attitude.

Day 6: Flowers

Sonoma Coast

Shift coasts — slightly — and breathe in the sea air. Flowers Winery is perched above the fog line on the Sonoma Coast, where Pinot Noir and Chardonnay thrive. The wines here are precise, aromatic, and beautifully restrained. The tasting room, House of Flowers, is a serene garden escape with seasonal bites, thoughtful pairings, and design that channels quiet luxury. After a day of discovery, transition to The Club’s residence at The Ink House in Sonoma — a luxurious retreat on a historic estate once home to California pioneer Theron Ink.

Day 7: Donum Estate

Sonoma County

End with a masterpiece. Donum is a wine lover’s dream wrapped in an open-air art museum. As you explore the estate, larger-than-life sculptures dot the landscape, while the estate-grown Pinot Noir and Chardonnay reflect the artistry in the cellar. This is where wine, art, and nature collide — a final reminder that in wine country, every bottle tells a story.

One week of indulgence, discovery, and unforgettable taste. With The Club’s Vineyard VIP program, this isn’t just wine tasting — it’s a full immersion. The journey stretches from Napa’s timeless estates to the coastal allure of Sonoma’s rolling vineyards, where each vineyard visit is an exploration of terroir, craftsmanship, and passion.
