POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As a Senior Director of Finance at Exclusive Resorts, you will play a key leadership role in shaping the financial direction and strategic growth of the company. This individual will serve on a team that holds itself to the highest of standards around business partnership and you will play a critical role in driving our success in achieving the long-term business objectives.  You will be responsible for supporting the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function while providing the financial evaluation of new business ventures, growth initiatives, and long-term strategic planning. You will partner closely with senior leadership to guide financial decision-making that supports the company's vision of delivering exceptional luxury experiences to its Members. The ideal candidate will thrive in fast paced environments and have a deep understanding of the luxury hospitality industry and bring a strong background in financial modeling, growth analysis, and capital investment strategies. This role offers an OTE (on-target earnings) of up to $200K, which includes a base salary ranging from $130-165K and a lucrative variable component based on both individual and company performance. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Strategic Financial Leadership in Luxury Hospitality:

  • Collaborate with the FP&A team in developing and executing comprehensive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes tailored to the luxury hospitality sector.
  • Provide financial guidance to senior leadership based on identified trends, market conditions, and competitive analysis to drive business decisions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor with the Executive Team to support strategic initiatives, including expansion into new markets, luxury real estate development, and high-end service offerings.
  • Create presentations/documents to be used both internally and externally to support the growth objectives of the organization.   
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.  

 New Opportunity Modeling and Analysis:

  • Develop and manage detailed financial models for existing and new strategic ventures, including but not limited to the development of high-end real estate portfolio, new service lines, and strategic partnerships.
  • Perform financial feasibility studies, scenario analysis, and risk assessments for new projects, expansions, and acquisitions in the hospitality space.
  • Establish processes and data analytics for new customer experiences and luxury brand standards.  Create process documentation and training as requested.  
  • Successfully collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, marketing, and real estate, to support the execution of luxury-focused initiatives.

 Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

  • Contribute and manage certain aspects of annual budgets, long-range financial plans, and rolling forecasts to ensure they support the company’s growth targets considering new strategic expansions.
  • Analyze key financial metrics, such as occupancy rates and profitability margins, to provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including variance analysis, profitability reports, and cost control measures across luxury properties.
  • Lead the preparation and explanation of required monthly, quarterly, annual and other ad-hoc reporting and analysis.  

 Capital Allocation and Investment Evaluation:

  • Lead the financial due diligence process for acquisitions, partnerships, and investments, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term growth strategy.
  • Evaluate return on investment (ROI) for high-value projects such as new property developments, acquisitions, and service enhancements.  
  • Manage the financial due diligence process for potential acquisitions and partnerships within the luxury hospitality sector.
  • Support acquisition process from target identification and evaluation through closing.
  • Create and develop materials to be used for internal review and regular updates with the Executive Team and the Board of Directors.
  • Other duties as assigned based on business needs.  

 EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (MBA or CFA preferred).
  • 8+ years of finance experience, with at least 5 years in FP&A or strategic finance roles, preferably in the luxury hospitality sector.
  • 5+ years of expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning for large-scale projects in the luxury hospitality sector.
  • 2+ years’ experience in understanding capital markets, including experience with equity and debt financing, M&A, and other investment banking transactions.  Investment banking background is a plus.  
  • Proven track record in leading due diligence, financial structuring, and negotiations for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to collaborate with teams, influence cross-functional partners, and partner with senior executives and high-level external partners.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex financial information to stakeholders.
  • Experience in working with a diverse portfolio of high-end real estate and experiences is a plus.
