Home to tech giants like Google, Uber and Salesforce, San Francisco buzzes with innovation. Set up your office away from home in one of the Club’s 10 two-bedroom residences in Ghirardelli Square. A concierge can help with everything from Zoom calls to FedEx shipments. Each unit features a desk in the living room, as well as a fireplace for chilly Bay Area mornings. Private wine storage and butler service make for easy entertaining.
The Club’s six residences in the Trump Chicago put Members in a prime location downtown. Living rooms overlook the Chicago River, Lake Michigan and Wrigley Field so you can work with a view. A state-of-the-art business center and rentable meeting space for larger groups are conveniently available on site. And with one of Chicago’s top health clubs, boasting a heated indoor swimming pool and studios offering over 40 classes, just an elevator ride away, you’ll actually look forward to a mid-day workout.
New York City
Located in the heart of Manhattan—Midtown East—the Club’s residences at Park Avenue Place are within steps of major businesses, like MetLife and Dow Jones, as well as attractions, such as Broadway and Central Park. The B units are ideal for remote workers, with desks in the living rooms as well as a concierge on call to assist with any business (getting copies made) or recreational needs (scoring last-minute restaurant reservations).
Montage Deer Valley has over 50,000-square-feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, in addition, all of the Club’s residences within the resort feature spacious desk areas. Recent WiFi upgrades in the Townhouses at Ironwood ensure all of your Zoom calls will be crystal clear, and units 4 and 5 both have private workspaces in the lower media rooms. Ski-in/ski-out access at both properties makes it easy to sneak in a few runs on the slopes between meetings.
A dream stay for families, the six-bedroom Elkhorn residence offers plenty of quiet and privacy for parents fielding work calls or even kids who might still be remote learning. You’ll find a private desk with stunning mountain views off one of the two master bedrooms. The second master has its own desk, with an equally spectacular view. A media room is equipped with all of the latest technology. If you need to destress after a long day at the computer, you can hit the steam room or roll out a yoga mat in the loft area.
Portable tables can be delivered to any of the Club’s eight residences. The 4,000-square-foot 111 Halona unit has a desk in the Master bedroom, plus an open room off the living room which can easily be converted into a workspace. Four-bedroom unit 245 High Dunes, which overlooks the famed Ocean Course, has a desk in the queen room. 491 Old Dock has a desk in both the Master and Jr. Master. A desk in the open office off the hall between the back stairs and living areas of 14 Surfsong is a quiet nook for working; if you have the discipline, take your laptop to the long deck to field emails.
Emerald Coast, Florida
Working from the beach is as easy as making one of the two Southern-style cottages in the idyllic Watercolor neighborhood your base. Both units have a desk in a pass-through hall that converts into a dedicated work area. When office hours are over, you have resort-style amenities, including an exclusive Beach Club, steps from your door.
Island life typically means spotty WiFi, but the brand-new fiber optic Internet service at Little Dix Bay is not your typical Caribbean connection. Two of the four bedrooms in all six Residences have desks, making it easy for everyone to take mini work breaks then reconvene for sunset cocktails by the sea.
One of the Club’s most beloved family getaways, the Cloister at Sea Island was designed with multi-generational travel in mind with two-story great rooms and screened-in porches for gathering as well as spaces for quiet and privacy. Both the Master and Jr. Masters in all 12 of the four-bedroom residences have desks and hotel business services are available at the press of a button.
The time difference in Maui means you’ll rise early to work but be free of incoming emails and calls by early afternoon. The residences at Ho’olei Villas at Grand Wailea have a desk in either the living room or the Master bedroom. On the west side of the island, units #2406, #2506, #2606 and #2706 at Montage Kapalua Bay have a separate, secluded den that can double as a work area. Residences in both locations offer spacious lanai for alfresco work calls with postcard-worthy views.
La Jolla, CA
Located in the charming neighborhood of Playa Grande at La Jolla Shores, the Club’s two modern residences both feature separate workstations across from the kitchens as well as in the junior suite. Both residences are just two blocks from the beach, and without a morning commute, there’s plenty of time to sneak in a pre-work surf session.
Working from paradise is seamless when Members stay at the four-bedroom villas located in a private gated community off the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman. Send the kids to the resort’s acclaimed Jean-Michel Cousteau Ambassadors of the Environment program to learn about marine life while you work from your residence’s private terrace or living room or hole up with your laptop in one of the cabanas on Seven Mile Beach.
