Enter the exclusive world of New York Fashion Week. Members were wined and dined, enjoyed exclusive VIP access to top runway shows, got behind-the-scenes access to luxury brand ateliers, and used the streets of New York as their own personal runway.
From PatBO to Per Se, Casa Cipriani to Proenza Schouler, the Exclusive Resorts New York Fashion Week Experience was a fast and furious weekend of glam that left everyone saying, "Can we do this every year?!". Fearless trip leads, Stacie Kelly-Turner and Claire Crispo, give you the inside scoop on what really went down.
THURSDAY
All 14 guests from Exclusive Resorts arrived Thursday, got settled into the Park Avenue Place residences, and were gifted a surprise bottle of champagne to celebrate the weekend ahead. We ventured over to Casa Cipriani where the evening was spent socializing with fellow New York Fashion Week attendees, other New York Members from the Club, and our fashion hosts for the weekend — the Missoni family. After drinks and heavy hors d'oeuvres, we gathered for an intimate discussion with Giacomo Missoni and Angela Mariani, Missoni’s PR agent, about their top Italian luxury fashion house. Members couldn't stop raving about the location, sunset, and almost full moon peeking up over Brooklyn and sparkling across the starlit East River.
FRIDAY
The day started bright and early at 7:30am for hair and makeup by celebrity stylists Seiichiro Hamada and Sandy Linter at The Plaza Hotel's in-house Warren Tricomi Salon. (These two regularly work with Christie Brinkley and Elizabeth Hurley!). Once all glammed up, we headed to the Proenza Schouler boutique for an intimate shopping experience hosted by Proenza's Director of Retail, Nadia Sheikh. The Members LOVED this experience and it really kicked off the weekend as items that were purchased were worn for the Proenza Fashion show later that day.
Speaking of... the Proenza Schouler Summer/Spring 2023 runway show was a total scene! Members were greeted by a wall of paparazzi as fashion icons, models, TikTok stars and influencers alike arrived in droves. Our Members were in awe at having access to the start of New Your Fashion Week, the kickoff show, and 20th anniversary of Proenza. The theme for the collection was clearly the elements — water specifically, as the models rocked slicked-back hair and dewy wet skin. Pieces from the new collection sashayed by on the famous frames of Kendall Jenner, Shalom Harlow, and Bella Hadid. Post Proenza, we were on to PatBO. Members had access to another VIP shopping experience at the PatBO Soho showroom complete with champagne and light bites.
By night, we dined in style at the 3-star Michelin restaurant, Per Se, in Columbus Circle. Oysters and pearls, a salad of cocktail artichokes, dover sole "a la grenobloise", elysian fields farm lamb, and tarte au chocolat took over the tablescape. Champagne, white, and red wines were flowing, as was the conversation recapping this epic, fashion-filled day.
SATURDAY
Members woke up this morning and started the day with a private shopping experience at Missoni, our gracious and ever-stylish hosts all weekend. Giacomo, the CEO, and his wife and business partner, Sylvia, treated our Members like family. Upon leaving, each Member was gifted a beautiful foulard as a thank you. Afterwards, we headed to the PatBO fashion show, where our Members sat in the 1st and 2nd rows and enjoyed the buzz; models taking photos down the runway, influencers taking videos, and lots of glamorous commotion.
The group met after lunch, this time at the Tiffany's flagship store for a 4-level shopping and VIP experience. Members split into two groups and enjoyed a behind the scenes tour of one of the most prestigious and famous jewelry stores. Following, Members were greeted at Manolo Blahnik's boutique just a few blocks away. The experience started in the showroom, where buyers come to select the styles for the upcoming seasons. In true Exclusive Resorts fashion, only a few select individuals have seen the Autumn/Winter 2024 collection, now including our Members!
Following downtime and dinner, Members met back at the residences for a New York Fashion Week after party that dreams are made of. At Hotel Chelsea — known for its legendary artists and dreamers such as Andy Warhol, Arthur Miller, Marilyn Monroe, and musicians like Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix — the night was alive with excitement. From the private/VIP room to the craft cocktails and gorgeous patrons, this was truly a night (and weekend!) to remember.
From the glitz and the glam to the VIP access, our New York Fashion Week Experience was a total success.... just ask some of our resident fashionistas.
