Reflecting on 2022’s Member-Only Golf Events: A Year in the Greens

Members joined The Club sea-to-sea to play top courses from St. Andrews in Scotland to Pebble Beach in California during our 2022 Members-only golf experiences.

Among the many great things about the game of golf: You can tee it up all over the world, you can enjoy playing and competing with people of any skill level thanks to the handicap system, and you can always get better. For Exclusive Resorts Members, 2022 presented four exceptional opportunities to experience each of those in unforgettable fashion. It started with the Eden Club Founders Golf Cup in St. Andrews — where walking those hallowed grounds felt like stepping into golf history. As the mist rolled in over the Old Course, we teed off with the energy of those who had played before us, celebrating not just the sport, but the camaraderie it inspired.

EDEN CLUB FOUNDERS GOLF CUP

Exclusive Resorts’ association with the Eden Club in St. Andrews provides Members the chance not only to stay and play in the Home of Golf, but also to take part in the club’s biggest event of the year. The Founders Cup is played on three of the world’s finest links courses: Kingsbarns, Carnoustie, and The Old Course — the same courses on which the prestigious Alfred Dunhill Links Championship is contested annually. The Founders Cup is an individual 54-Hole Stableford format, plus there are daily individual competitions. Highlights included staying in the luxurious Old Course Hotel and attendance at a black-tie Gala Dinner in kilts at Pittormie Castle.

WHISTLING STRAITS PARENT-CHILD GOLF TOURNAMENT

In August, Whistling Straits hosted our Parent-Child Golf Tournament, an event marked by laughter, family bonds, and the rugged beauty of this iconic course. The cool breeze off Lake Michigan accompanied us as we challenged ourselves and cheered one another on, making this a standout family experience.

PEBBLE BEACH: LEGENDARY GOLF WEEKEND

And then, of course, Pebble Beach. The legend itself. That weekend in August was one for the books. The views along the Pacific coastline were every bit as breathtaking as they were challenging, but by far, the best part was sharing the adventure with fellow members and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
