ASPEN, COLORADO
The Spooky: Ask most any Aspenite what their favorite holiday celebration is, and you’ll likely hear about its Halloween parties. With a walkable downtown, Aspen becomes an outdoor street party, with decked-out stores and restaurants showcasing the wild and weird. And while this mountain enclave is famous for its ski slopes, it also has a haunted past. Explore the town’s dark side with the Aspen Historical Society’s Ghosts, Murder & Mayhem, spanning from 1879 to present day.
The Stay: Aspen’s iconic Hotel Jerome is known to house lingering spirits from the early mining days, including the infamous Water Boy — a young guest who is said to have drowned on the property. He’s now depicted in eerie artwork next to the hotel’s beautiful living room. Suite-style accommodations are located in the heart of downtown and frame unforgettable views of the renowned Aspen Mountain.
CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA
The Spooky: Charleston may be known for its Lowcountry charm, yet this favorite urban escape also has a scary side. Discover haunted landmarks like the Old City Jail or take a ghost tour through historic cobblestone streets and alleyways. The Battery Carriage House is considered one of the spookiest haunts, where Ghosts of Civil-war era soldiers are said to roam and employees experience paranormal activity while they make their rounds.
The Stay: After all the frights, unwind in one of The Club’s stylish and spacious residences, ideally located at 71 Wentworth. Nestled amidst the charm of historic Charleston, the residences provide easy access to the city's celebrated landmarks, including Rainbow Row, the Battery, and the Pineapple Fountain.

Both properties easily access holiday happenings plus top tables, Broadway shows, luxury boutiques, iconic FIfth Avenue mainstays, and legendary landmarks.
SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE, MEXICO
The Spooky: If looking for an extraordinary destination to celebrate Día de los Muertos, San Miguel de Allende should top your list. La Alborada is an all-night party with fireworks, where you can indulge in the holiday traditions of pan de muerto, a sweet bread shaped like skulls and crossbones, paired with a glass of atole, a traditional Mexican drink made from masa, cinnamon, vanilla, and chocolate. What’s more, candlelit cemeteries are something to be celebrated and not feared, as flowers and food create a joyful remembrance of those who have passed on.
