JOB SUMMARY:

Exclusive Resorts seeks a Tax Manager to join the Tax team. The Tax Manager will assist in maintaining accounting books and records on a tax basis for both projections and compliance. In addition to income tax demands, the need may arise to support obligations related to transactional and property taxes. Regardless of the tax, the individual may also be asked to assist in responses to taxing authorities. The Tax Manager will also be a resource to the Accounting Department in regard to entity accounting and consolidation.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparing and reviewing complex income tax returns

• Assisting in quality control review for all financial statements

• Reviewing corporate tax returns for completeness and accuracy

• Assisting with research and planning according to current tax laws

• Assisting in planning and compliance regarding tax matters, such as waivers and tax returns

• Assisting in the review and oversight of the preparation of quarterly tax projections and communication of required estimated tax payments

• Ensuring compliance with financial and tax reporting policies and procedures

• Assisting in research, analysis, and tax application for taxes which will include income, property, and indirect taxes such as sale, use, occupancy, and VAT.

• Assisting in improving efficiency of accounting and other reporting systems regarding taxability of sales or purchases

• Communicating tax best business practices to accounting managers and staff accountants

• Assisting Accounting Department with monthly close process as it relates to tax accounts

• Assisting in maintaining internal resources utilized for summarizing tax law and tax positions taken

• Responding and monitoring tax notices and correspondence, including responsibility of audit defense

• Involvement in special projects as requested by Tax Department Management

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or six to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must

• Ability to research and analyze tax statutes; court cases; and application of tax laws to facts

• Ability to accomplish multiple time-sensitive projects efficiently and effectively

• Ability to work effectively with different groups and personnel within the Company (Management, Operations, Legal, Finance, Accounting, etc.)

• Ability to self-manage assigned projects and determine & communicate when additional resources may be necessary

• Ability to handle a high level of responsibility and adhere to deadlines
