JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an intern to join our team to help with data analysis and forecasting efforts and for someone that is eager to learn about the day-to-day activities that occur on our Finance team to support a fast-paced, high-growth, and employer of choice organization. 

 This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to enter the Finance field and grow their decision-making and analysis skillsets. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for end-of-the-month reconciliations (working with multiple departments to align reporting and results), ad hoc analytical requests, and coordinating with other members of the accounting and finance team to review financial information and forecasts.

 ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate with all departments to gather, reconcile, analyze, and summarize data and prepare recommendations regarding financial analyses
  • Help with accounts receivable, payable, and bank statement reconciliation
  • End of the month reporting package aggregation and presentation of findings to management
  • Work with the FP&A team on forecasting efforts
  • Design financial reports as ongoing tools to assist future decision making 
  • Conduct other special ad-hoc financial projects or analyses at the request of the VP of Finance or Chief Financial Officer

 EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Strong analytic and financial background with at least one to two years of professional work experience
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in teams
  • Very strong Excel proficiency
  • Commitment to detail
  • Prior data analysis experience is preferred
  • Strong modeling skills are required
  • A Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university is required and must currently be pursuing an MBA.
