We are seeking an accomplished Corporate Controller who is excited to join the Exclusive Resorts’ leadership team and play their part in achieving our organizational growth objectives. 

In this role, you will lead the accounting team for Exclusive Resorts, with overall responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling the accounting activities across the company, including all destinations within the Club’s portfolio. You will work closely with the CFO in all aspects of the business; including strategic initiatives, evaluating capital investments, managing relationships with the company’s key stakeholders, and preparing Board reports.

·       Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements

·       Lead the month-end close process, consistently reviewing and improving procedures

·       Conduct GAAP accounting research, complete technical accounting memos, and implement applicable accounting treatment to ensure conformity with professional accounting standards and best practices

·       Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors and manage preparation and support of all external audits

·       Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, and financial procedures

·       Partner with the FP&A team to ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting

·       Maintain corporate banking relationships and strategic alliances with vendors and business partners

·       Coordinate with the Tax department to ensure timely reporting and compliance with federal, state and local tax authorities

·       Oversee reporting to the company’s lenders, including monitoring compliance with loan covenants

·       Liaising with the IT team to ensure efficient operation of financial systems and software

·       Advise management on accounting implications for all material business decisions

·       Recruit, train, develop, and lead a high-performing team

·       Strong experience in private/public accounting sectors, ideally with audit experience

·       Positive attitude, attention to detail and focus on process improvements are a must

·       ERP implementation experience and knowledge of NetSuite is a plus

·       BA/BS degree or equivalent experience, plus CPA or equivalent designation is required

·       7–10+ years of experience in the accounting and finance sector, managing accountants and the accounting process

·       Strong technical accounting skills, including multi-entity reporting and consolidation, with experience of complicated revenue recognition rules
