ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will have a direct impact on the strategies and processes for the Accounts Payable team
  • Manage full cycle Accounts Payable
  • Develop, implement, and maintain procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines
  • Add approved new vendors to accounting system and perform vendor review periodically
  • Review AP journals for accuracy and post journals completed by AP Specialists
  • Assist with Concur data transfer errors as needed
  • Process weekly AP disbursements, including checks, ACH, and wire payments
  • Interact directly with bank support team as needed
  • Manage 1099 process, and all 1099 related matters
  • Support tax group with related sales and use tax matters
  • Manage accounts payable subledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Complete monthly closing of Accounts Payable including posting of month end journals, ensuring accuracy of financial statements relating to AP
  • Complete assigned monthly GL account reconciliations including Accounts Payable
  • Hire, train, motivate, and evaluate Accounts Payable team members, to enhance their performance, development, and work product
  • Address and improve performance concerns and make recommendations for personnel growth
  • Assist with implementation of new accounting system’s Accounts Payable functionality

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Seven or more years of accounting experience
  • Two or more years of Accounts Payable management experience
  • Must have large ERP AP system experience, NetSuite preferred
  • Must have 1099 filing experience
  • Strong computer and business solutions software skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with internal teams, vendors, and upper management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
  • Positive attitude, attention to detail and focus on process improvements are a must
  • Disciplined, strong work ethic, self-motivated and extremely goal-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills; strong, empathetic leader with soft skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage people and time effectively

  • Experience with Concur, Dynamics, and/or NetSuite strongly preferred
